Robert De Niro puts his own spin on Wrecking Ball, The Simpsons tackle The Hobbit and Pentatonix sing Beyoncé
Our theme this week is youth and we start with some of the greatest veterans of the silver screen reading the words of some of the most popular young music artists of the day. While Morgan Freeeman puts his own spin on Ylvis's The Fox, Robert De Niro tackles Miley Cyrus's Wrecking Ball, Kevin Kline recites One Direction's Best Song Ever and Michael Douglas gets stuck into Chinese Food. Stick with it for a Ylvis/Freeman mash-up at the end of the clip, which promotes the film Las Vegas, which has the theme of recapturing youth.
For an extremely young reaction to a musical performance, check out the Emotional Baby clip – very, very cute. It won't be long before that baby is playing with Lego. We've got an exclusive trailer from The Lego Movie which opens in February 2014. Starring the vocal talents of Chris Pratt, Will Ferrell, Elizabeth Banks, Will Arnett, Nick Offerman, Alison Brie, and Liam Neeson, among others, it tells the story of Emmet, an ordinary, rules-following, perfectly average Lego mini-figure who is mistakenly identified as an extraordinary person who is capable of saving the world. He is drafted into a fellowship of strangers on a quest to stop an evil tyrant. Naturally, he is hopelessly and hilariously underprepared in this 3D computer animated movie.
There's an outstanding child performance when nine-year-old Amira Willighagen wins the golden ticket to the final in Holland's Got Talent 2013 and the worst side of children (and adults') behaviour is on display in Jimmy Kimmel's latest compilation of kids' reactions when their parents tell them they have eaten all their Halloween candy and treats.
And if you need calming down after all the foot-stamping and tantrums, relax a little with Pentatonix's take on Beyoncé. Have fun!
